The practice of art
isn’t to make a living.
It’s to make
your soul grow.
My small business, tenacious lace, is almost a year old. This first year has been about learning when I need help and asking for it, finding a family rhythm that allows both my husband and me time to work and homeschool our children.
It is easy to get caught up in the business side of a creative business and I am discovering my need to space out other activities so I still have time to create. This week, I found a pocket of time to play with some new ink and stamps. Quotes have certainly captured my heart and I found one that reminds me to return my focus to the purpose of art and relaxing my attention on the never-ending business side.
*The greeting card is Lori Portka’s that I received for Valentine’s from a beautiful friend.
